Transfer time for New Handgun

11 (15 days including weekends) business days Ontario, private sale, both persons with other registered firearms

Started paperwork for my CZ yesterday at 3:30pm. Today at 10:45am I had the email. Definitely can’t complain in a short time frame like that. Alberta, new purchase

Why is Ontario such a delay? Horrible CFO’s/legislation or are they actually just that busy with purchases transfers and what not?

Didn't you know? They have so many gang members and other criminals that keep registering their restricted firearms. They're overwhelmed with the background checks and letters of support that say, "they're just going through a difficult time and trying to turn themselves around and be a role model...."

First time restricted purchase yesterday.

Got my transfer emailed in about 18 hours which really surprised me. Purchased from an alberta store. Now I just have to figure how to get the long term att to go to my ranges. Apparently registration is in the mail.

The part that kind throws me off is this line in the email "As per Bill C42, your Authorization to Transport within your province of residence conditions are now attached to your licence"
Might have to give them a callni think

Most recent was within 24 hours, from Saskatchewan. Some priors were: 2 days to BC and 2 weeks to Ontario. Ontario seems to be the longest, and I suspect the CFO employee numbers are not proportionate to the Ontario population comparative to other provinces.

As mentioned above, I just purchased my 1st restricted Aa week ago and received my new updated licence with conditions as well as the firearm itself. I haven't received the registration yet tho.
