Transfer time for New Handgun

Didn't you know? They have so many gang members and other criminals that keep registering their restricted firearms. They're overwhelmed with the background checks and letters of support that say, "they're just going through a difficult time and trying to turn themselves around and be a role model...."
^^^^Good one LOL

Rec'd transfer number from seller on Wednesday, called in a 12:30 pm Pacific, email confirmation Thursday at noon. (Ont to BC).

Glad I saw this thread, I was just gonna ask about this. Just purchased my first handgun via Cabelas..Got my RPAL a couple days ago. So stoked and just super curious.

I called in to complete a BC to NS transfer at 10:30AM Friday morning and received the approval email a smidge more than four hours later.

Same here, the seller started a transfer Thursday afternoon and I completed Friday morning, received the transfer email Saturday morning.

3 weeks and counting for mine. On the bright side at least I'm getting lots of dry fire practice ...I guess :/

Edit: update- after typing this message out i decided to call in to the CFP to see if theres anything I could find out. The rep I spoke with said "yes there are delays as they are changing the procedures around restricted registrations" and didn't elaborate any more. Then said they'd print mine out and send it, so thats at least good news, but curious to what they were referring procedurally

Transfer for mine took basically one business day, I'm curious to see how long it will take to get the registration now as looking at the posts above it appears that lags behind the transfer time considerably. Will at least give me time to load up a bunch of 9mm rounds while I wait though.
