Transfer times in Alberta

Anyone had a transfer go through in Alberta recently?

I am having zero luck calling in to the CFP. Yesterday I finally got through was told to just keep waiting. According to the person I spoke with the current wait times in Alberta are in excess of 12 weeks. Of course the same person did say now that no more transfers are possible they should start to catch up on the backlog. How nice for them.
 
Just received the Transfer Notification (Seller) today for a pistol, with both of us having done the Reference Number call-ins on 15 September, so 6 weeks to be completed.

Good for you, but rather annoying to me. I'm still waiting on multiple August transfers, and you're getting them from September?
 
Which phone number do I call to move along / check the process of a recent purchase? It's sitting in the "Awaiting Transfer Clearance" as per the store.
(AB store / AB buyer).
 
got approved individual sale from yukon to alberta 29 september and approved the 28 of october. 6043### ref,. do not know if the purchaser called in or not to accelerate the process.
 
Well, I decided to give them a call this morning and got through to a very nice kind young lady after 15 mins of waiting. First time caller and she had pushed my transfer through to the registry for finalization. Told me to wait a few days and it should be approved in my email. Called at 9am this morning if that helps anyone. Used the 1 1 9026 method. Thanks everyone. After 11 weeks. It’s all good :)
 
I ended up calling in Monday to clear up some transfers. 1st was from Aug 17, last was Sep 3. Waited 27 mins to get through, then 20 mins on hold to finalize the transfers.

I'm curious what the current backlog is.
 
Just called in for my final gun, a cheap Chinese Tok that Iam okay waiting for. She told me guns are going through a double review to make sure none purchased passed the 21st will go through. She said mine was fine since it was initiated before then but she still has to send it away and can't approve them on the spot anymore. She said maybe a week but no promises.
 
I have called dozens of times over the last several weeks, this morning I got through for the very first time. Waited 14 minutes on hold, then I was talking to a rep.

She told me that regular processing was working on transfers from 1st week of July. I filed this under 'nonsense', as I have had transfers from late July and early August approved already. Whatever.

She then told me that she could send 2 transfers to "the office" for "final review". I guess that's the same thing Craig0ry is talking about. She wouldn't approve them immediately but said it would happen within a few days now.
 
I phoned in on Thursday last week and had much the same experience as post #131 above. Got one transfer this morning.#6010###, initiated 24 August. Hopefully more coming soon.

I have a pending transfer from early-August that I haven't seen a confirmation email about. If I call will they need any details other than my name and PAL#? Retailer didn't send me any details other than "pending CFO confirmation...".
