Retail sales seem to have priority. I am ok with that if that is the case.

Take Care

Bob

Not sure about that one.

I still have 2 transfers pending from July 5 for handguns from a dealer. My other purchases from the beginning of June all went through after 3 weeks.

I tend to agree. I just had one from mid-June approved on Friday, still waiting for my last one from early July both retail sales. It seems the order in which transfers are approved is kind of random.

Followed the lead of others on here. I called the BC CFO to ask about a few things. Before I could even ask about it the amazing lady on the other end said "I see you have a few pending transfers, if you're willing to stay on the line a few minutes longer I will see about putting those through."
All transfers had been pending for 6-9 weeks already, but in about 15 minutes she completed 2 transfers where I was the buyer and 1 where I was the seller.

Glad it worked.

Can you request your ATT without having any restricted firearm transfers completed?

Well I awaited on the line for 30 min and all the gentleman would say it is with CFO pending transfer my reference number 597***.

I have tried several calls to ext 9530 and won’t even accept my call. I guess I just keep waiting. Not painful at all!

Your ATT is attached to your license. If you have no restricted registered there is no reason to issue you and ATT. In BC with out a affiliation with a range or Silvercore membership No ATT will be given by CFO is my understanding and what was told to me by the CFO years ago. If I am wrong someone will correct me. This is my understanding.

I think you're correct, I've been under the impression that the CFO doesn't even like to do restricted transfers without a range or gun club membership.

I've also noticed the other day, that you can now apply for non-standard ATTs online and you longer have to call to get one.

you have to have a range membership in BC only in ontario you do not is my understanding of how it works

Anyone know the hours for the BCCFO? Their phone system pukes out so much usless tips and "did you know's" but can't be bothered to give their hours of service when they notify you that the office is closed at 3:30 on a tuesday.

they switched the menu and send 99.9% of all calls to the were closed piss off message shortly after the extension was posted in here they do not answer emails or faxes and you cannot get through on the phone if you live near there dropping in is your only option

5947 approved 31st August, initiated June 21st.
I think BC CFOs are going as fast as they can and seem to be getting through them ok.

Yeah, they are supposed to have the same hours as the National Call Centre but don't. Can't really fault the BC CFO though.

I just called in for an ATT and asked if they could check on a transfer for me while I had them one the line.
Initated on 26 Aug, approved today.
I left them a voicemail to request an ATT a couple fridays back so I could ship to someone in Manitoba. They called me back on Monday, after someone else had emailed me the ATT, and the lady approved and emailed 5 transfers at 5 am on the Tuesday. 3 purchases, 2 sales.

Which is odd - because there are obviously BC CFOs working out east, to be doing things at those hours.

I'm fine with waiting, it's all the " I called in and they did all mine on the phone while I waited" claims that sort of lead me to believe that after over 2 months of waiting some people might be cutting the line with the help of the BCCFO.

More annoying then waiting for them to rubber stamp paperwork is not being able to call in and complete a transfer so it can be forwarded to the rubber stampers.

The nonsensical new non restricted rules are probably not helping with the work load.

My first transfer came on a weekend. They are probably racking up OT. Get it while they can.., their jobs are gone once handgun
Sales end. There is not many restricted rifles left to keep them working.
