Transfer times in BC

Good for you ! C’mon Tanya pick up when I call PLEASE !
Leavenworth
Ok...so called in this morning using the 9530 extension. This is for a June 2 transfer...First try, disconnected at the 10min mark...second try...success!! (after 16min wait). I get a very nice lady (Tanya, I believe)..."let me take care of this for you"...transfer finally done. Now the HG can finally be shipped to me.

Tried calling the BC CFO and was on hold until 2pm and was told they were now closed. Tried both the work phone and the cellphone, same thing.
Use the burner app. Get up at 0430 and use the app. set your area code to 709 for newfoundland and be the first caller to the first CFO district that opens using the burner app.

Then you have the whole morning to drink coffee and daydream, buy optics and ammo!

Do you still not need it to be talking to the B.C. CFO. to be able to complete the transfer ?

The "burner app" would work to talk to the CFC but not the CFO since the BC CFO office opens at 9am PST. Transfers can only be done by your own Provincial CFO Office.

That’s what I thought Ginger ! Thanks !
I have been trying and trying and then trying to get in touch with them ! I think someone mentioned that it is possible if you have multiple impending transfers and this is also you first Restricted purchases they may be putting you at the bottom of the pile. I hope this is not the case as this is my situation . Transfers in my opinion should be done on a first come basis . Also why would
they shuffle a first time purchaser to the bottom ? Are not all transfers looked into equally ? As something could change with a person no matter if the person had purchased a Restricted before or not ? Maybe someone could elaborate as to what exactly they do when they do a transfer .

I’m in Chilliwack. Used it to call to complete my end of a purchase last Friday. That phone conversation is the only one you need to have. Since my end of the reference phone call is complete, it’s just waiting for the provincial CFO to process it. The burner app allows you the opportunity to make it through on the phones before all the other provinces start filling up the system

Thank You !

Technically if you buy a bunch of guns that are the exact same, they move you to "further processing" or if you say went out and bought 4 or 5 handguns at once you also might be moved to "further processing" which just means a little tighter scrutiny on your background check.

3 different pistols all different makes . One .22 LR. and Two 9mm purchased

Just called in and got through on the second time, after being disconnected at 35 minutes, using the 9530 extension. Was able to complete my transfer from June 6. New toy on the way!!

Same here. After a couple aborted attempts I got through and Kelly(?) approved a transfer from June 6 and one from June 8 but said she didn’t have time to work on my more recent ones. Was worth the redialing and frustration on hold all things considered. I think I’ll try calling again Monday and see if I can get the rest of my transfers completed.

The other factor is that there are additional delays relating to when vendors process the orders. I bought something on the June 6th, and found out that the vendor just submitted paperwork yesterday.

Placed an order with Reliable gun. Took 5 days for them to start the transfer :(
