Transfer times in BC

Defintly i had two Sheree and Tanya. It seems these fine ladies and others working there are real workings gems. If there isba way to send flowers oh hell yeah id like to know too

Lady I spoke with for both of my transfers was Holly, she was also awesome. So that's 4 different people named so far at the BC CFO office that were all great and super pleasant to deal with, thumbs up to all of them.
 
Quick question for you gents, I have some from June that I’m still waiting for. I received one ordered in august. What is the best number/extension number to get ahold of the BC cfo?
 
You just have to keep calling. Having the number saved and programmed to push the buttons for you is going to make it a lot easier. I have initated about a dozen transfers, 6 in the last few weeks and it does not take me more than an hour to get through with non stop calling. I've gotten to the point where people are suprised when I conference them for their half of the transfer.

Program the number into your phone as such: 1-800-731-4000,1,,,,,,4,2
Each comma is a 2 sec pause, you phone will dial the first number then it will pause then push the 1 then pause for 12sec (to wait for the annoying new recording) then it will press the 4 and so on.

If using Android, with the keypad open, start entering the number, then press the three dot button in the top right corner and here you will have the add the pause. Add as many pauses as called for.

If using an iPhone, you have to add the number in a new contact. When you add the number there will be a button in the bottom left corner of the keypad (+*#), select this and there is where you can add the pause as needed.

Doing this all you have to do is press Send and End when you get the "We're sorry..." bit, hang up and just press send again.

Phone the initial 1800, immediately hit 1, wait on a government propaganda spiel....hit 1 again. Male voice prompts you for extension....enter 9530

I started about 9am, got thru and did a transfer just before noon. Probably took me 70+ calls, in the que to be hung up on about 10 times. M y transfer was pending seven + weeks.

Woman said they are working on mid June, with a que of between 20,000 -30,000.
 
I actually wouldn't mind sending her a gift card or muffins or something. The very nice lady who helped me, her name was Kelli. How would we go about doing this? Send it to Green Timbers CFO office with a note?

that would be cool Im not sure if she's in an office or working from home its been reported both ways could send it to the office but if shes home at best her coworkers will send her a picture of the muffins lol police and baked goods ;)
 
I was hoping to get 1 approved and Iris approved 3 for me over the phone about a month ago. One was only submitted the day before I called!

Nancy did mine. What a Gem. She, on her own, saw my PAL renewal app was sitting there so she, again, without me asking, renewed it while I was on the phone. I'll get the new card next week. I can't begin to say how much I appreciated her super service and friendly demeanor.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with almost every one I have spoken with at the CFO/CFP. They are just doing a job and trying to make it through the day. I have delt with Alex on several occasions and he has always been helpful. They deserve respect and kindness, unlike how some on this forum would have you believe.

to be honest Ive had positive experiences with all the CFO and police around firearms some police get to talking about how every canadian has to have an SKS and a Cooey as its a right of passage lol you get the sense they look at it like the Marijuana laws of old when cops would bust you but say " look I do not make the laws I have to enforce them whether I agree with them or not" something that took a horrible turn down a dark path in WW2 eastern europe. but you get what Im saying they are in the pro firearm club too one was just busted with an illegal handgun in his personal car you know its bad when cops feel the need to have a sidearm even when off duty. (illegal meaning he was not going to the range it was loaded not locked etc)
 
Thanks for the info gents! Called 108 times before getting through. Once I did I got approval on all 4 of mine that I was waiting on after about a minute on hold ! ��
 
I buckled and at lunch I tried calling the BC CFO.... 3 tries and 25 minutes on hold, I had two transfers approved. I was surprised that I got through. Work makes it tough for me to call that is why I was getting frustrated with everyone calling in and getting approved.

you figured out the secret now just don't tell everyone at least until I use it once more lol
 
I am starting to loose hope that my transfer will be done before Parliment is back in session. Early July dealer transfer from BC...still nothing. At best, i got a hold of a human who started to transfer my call to BC, then hung up.

Today, Sept 20, i cant even get through on hold. They say they are busy and then it hangs up automatically.

Why cant we do this crap online? I could just upload proof of valid gun club membership to my RCMP CFP account and be done with it. Why do thry even need to talk to me?

If it gives you some hope the lady I talked to when one of my transfers recently went through thought any transfers in the system would likely still get approved if the idiot sitting in the PMès chair decides to go ahead with his legislation. Just her opinion but better than mine or anyone else's here.

Ive been trying 9530, but no luck. I guess i will keep trying! Perks of working a desk job from home, i guess
 
Called the 9530 ext 44 times today.
Set my phone to auto-dial all the BS menu options.
Sat on hold for 10 mins and finally got through.

Spoke to a Roxanne and she is a f'ing rockstar and approved a few transfers for me. Told me to call back Friday for the rest.
