Transfer times in BC

I called in mid morning this today for an aug 22 purchase. Took 10-15 tries using the method posted above to get through and around 40mins on hold, but the lady was kind enough to push through that last transfer for me. The G44 is finally on its way!

I called to initate a transfer today at 1639hrs PST and I was speaking with some one within 4 minutes. I was so suprised that I wasn't even ready to get started. The lady was patient and I was able to conference in the buyer.

Transfer initiated on Oct 12th, approved today. BC private individual to BC private individual.
Transfer initiated on Oct 11th, approved today. Ont. business to BC private individual.

congrats. did you phone them?

Must have for that sort of turn around.

I just called this week to have some pushed through. They did 3 for me, 2 that I bought and 1 I sold. Then she said I'd have to call back for the rest. A buddy and I are trading pistols and they approved the sale to my friend but not the one back to me! lol

Damn, that was fast. Guess I'm gonna have to do some more dialing next week. It's such a pain to get through.

Did you wait and just let them approve on their own schedule?

Yeah. I had given them a call or two ahead of time to see if I could get them to approve it earlier but they weren't budging and just told me to wait.

I'm also a relatively new restricted owner which I think also extended my wait a bit.

The majority of the CFO officers will do transfers each time you call. There are a couple who have a different mindset. You can just call back and will likely get someone to complete the transfers.

Found some time to sneak away today and attempt to call the BC CFO (using the pre-programmed digits listed above; WHAT A DREAM!). I kept track and I was immediately disconnected 12 times, on hold for ~28 minutes once, then disconnected, then on hold a second time for 26 minutes when a really nice lady named Kelly answered. I had one reference number from Marstar to check on and I asked if she could check on another set of transfers
Back in June I agreed to purchase 3 pistols from a friend, but when he couldn't get through to the firearms centre he Registered Letter'd the paper transfer. It showed being signed for in Miramachi June 14th. Now that I have been approved over the phone, I can see that although the paperwork was received Mid-June, they didn't initiate the transfer until July 7th.

For all 4 pistols, NONE of them had showed up on the CFC web portal

Transfer Reference Numbers: 5962___ and 6000___

Question now.... can I sell 3 of the pistols I bought using the "New Registration Cert #" off the transfer notification? Before anyone gets mad about this question, the whole reason I bought the 3 pistols from a friend is he was moving and said since he hadn't used them in years he was just going to surrender them. I told him I would rather buy all 3 than see them surrendered with the plan to trade them for something I actually want when the transfer was complete.
I already have one deal lined up for the S&W 44 mag revolver to go to a buddy from work in exchange for a Krag-Jorgensen rifle
I'm hoping to trade the Glock 21 and Tisas Zigana (both 45acp) both to one person in exchange for something in 9mm

Yes you can.

Had 3 more transfers approved yesterday while on the road. First call getting through the lady was very unhelpful. I asked if she could check the status of a few transfers and instead of starting with my name/PAL/ref# she just said "transfer are taking 4 to 5 months, we don't check on the status". I didn't waste any time with her, just hung up and resumed power calling. Second lady was the exact oppsite. Took my name and PAL and said "do you mind if I put you on hold?" back 3 minutes later with 2 incoming and one outgoing approved.
