Made a purchase August 25th. I'm personally not in a hurry so I haven't bothered calling in. The last handgun transfer time was 3 months to the day. Law of averages... should be any day now.

Agreed, why wait that long, it was a fairly quick process for the ones I called in. Had my approvals within a couple of days of purcahse.

The gov doesn’t want you to have guns. Why would pay to speed it up.

I’m still waiting for 1 but I’m not calling fir this one. It’s just a wrangler. I want to see how long it takes out of curiosity. .

Been waiting since mid-August for a BC-BC Private transfer. (#6011###)
Called last week and spoke to a pissy functionary who complained that they
were "Very busy" and said to expect it to take six months.
Held my tongue but did suggest they hire more help.

I made the call, got thru on Tuesday, they told me it’s being processed, be patient, transfer was August 4.

When you get hold of the CFO folks it helps to be polite. My experience with BC CFO has always been useful and positive. They are just trying to do their jobs under very trying circumstances.

What does this mean?
Any idea when I will receive approval?
Reading the Ontario spread sheets looks like February or March 2023?

Sounds like you didn't speak to the BC CFO office. Phone again and ask for BC CfO, then ask them.

There is less volume now that the restrictions are in effect. BC CFO is extension 9530
