Transfer Times

Did anyone else buy a handgun from Tenda in the past few weeks and not get a transfer number? I ordered one 6 days ago and emailed and asked and was told when they start the transfer they will update the order. Checked this morning and still nothing. Waiting 6 days to start a transfer for an Ontario customer is probably adding 3-4 months to the wait.

Same here did not get anything

6 weeks in counting in BC. I sold one to a guy in NS. Transfer took 4 days. I guess the folks in NS aren't buying too much. Or the staff isn't on vacation. Or........

I wonder if they prioritize personal sales incase the freeze comes in before they are completed? easier to get money from a business than a person at times.

Bought couple of handguns from individuals recently and based on the reference numbers I got, I'd say there are currently around 1K transfers per day.

During one transfer on Aug 8th, seller actually asked them what's the time estimation over the phone and told me that I would probably receive my firearm around Christmas time....so good luck everyone! (seller in BC and I am in Ontario)

I personally do not believe half the the posts on any of the forums these days, consider for instance Ontario, they were three weeks behind at least before the ban, post ban in Ontario expect to wait nine months. Calling is futile with people who process X amount of transfers per day, increscent calling and the me first attitude is futile.

5920### Ontario business to Alberta individual and 5921### Alberta business to Alberta individual both approved today from June 7th.

Switzers just closed up their auction. At the conclusion, they announced that they spoke with the Ontario CFO yesterday and were advised that Ontario is 31,000 transfers behind.

They asked that people dont call to ask about the transfers as that simply takes time away from processing.

The system is clearly broken. Will those responsible for maintaining it work to fix it?

Absolutely not.

Pointless to complain now...NEW transfers will be a thing of the past in a few months time, unfortunately.

Would like to think it won't pass but...

The ontario CFO sent an Email out a month or more ago it was on the Canada national firearm association website it states almost exactly what you said there was also a few rumors that those who did call got put at the back of the line other CFO's in other provinces have shut down the phone lines sending everything to a piss off voice mail and sealed up the extensions advertised in the forums here there's a nifty image that shows how many transfers came in during july literally like 8 to 10 times more than normal the RCMP released the photo and gun blog published it

I initiated a transfer as a seller June 9, approved June 21.
Sk-Sk
I initiated 5928 the next day, June 10, as Sk buyer, from Ont seller. Should be any day now...
