Transfer Times

Yesterday i was contacted by Tenda to let me know that my Chiappa Rhino 357. Nebula Special edition was canceled do to the police not allowing the transfer of that brand or model
I was totally bummed out as I ordered it on August 20th and everything was good to go and payment was excepted plus I bypassed many last chance firearms at that time as this was the one I spent my money on and it wasn't cheap.
They offered to return my money and since I had know choices I excepted.
Has anyone else's order been canceled due to these circumstances???? By Tenda
Probably was my last chance to own one these bad boys (Sucks)
No problem with other orders so far Wtf has the ban started?
 
That makes no sense, it’s just a revolver….nothing really that the police should be involved with…sounds like Tenda is making up excuses for not having enough stock when they took your money….
 
If the CFO did not approve the transfer, it’s because there is a problem with your RPAL, membership or other.
Not the gun or Tenda. Call CFC and check it out.

I had a non restricted PAL verification failed for a buyer. He called and got the problem rectified.

Whats the potential issue with membership?
Since this is my 1st restricted i have not joined a club yet, but i know which one i will join and did list them in the purchase form. (The choices were; none, club name…, or “still looking”

I believe you need a valid membership before they will approve a restricted firearm as they fax your membership details to the CFO I do not think you can just put pending or looking, but someone to correct me if I am wrong. The fact that still looking was a option is interesting. Mind you I am speaking from alberta I don’t know how other provinces work.

Hmm, now I'm really worried. A Chiappa Rhino 357 was my first purchase (and after double-checking, this is also from Tenda). It's been a couple of months, still waiting for transfer but should be getting close). This revolver has been something I've wanted for years now.

When you say police, what do you mean? I read recently where the Peel Regional Police called a guy to ask him questions about his transfer. When they were done the officer said he will put the transfer through. Are the police now involved in this process?

Oh I sure hope not. It looks like the CFP is dropping all of my calls though. Before I got in after 30min, now I keep getting dropped.

just for reference

The numbers have really slowed down in july in a 3 day period 7000 transfers were initiated in that time now between Aug 26 and Sept 15 there was only 18,227 so if your near the last of the list and not in Onterrible do not stress too much it should get faster. And it seems that some provinces have dedicated call people like in BC it seems to be one very nice extremely busy woman but she's clearing a few at a time per person so every call makes it much faster for the whole and not taking away from the office daily quota

I couldn't get through on the phones these past 2 days but got through today.

If I hadn't called it would probably take a few more weeks eventually. Didn't want to wait for parliament to start and more BS being shoved down our throats before I eve get my hands on it and at least shoot it a few times at the range!

Does the email get send to you the same day after you got it approved by calling in?

Anyone else know?
