Transfer Times

Thanks for posting these messages, I check daily to gauge where I stand. Purchased Aug. 17th Ontario business to private, ref# 6005%$#. I'm guessing end of January I hopefully get mine..
 
The two above posts are apples and oranges. The timeline (where the # being processed is) depends on your province. NS may be processing 606###x, BC may be doing 599###x (although if you are in BC you should just call in and have it approved over the phone) and Ontario may still be in the 596###x field (or wherever, the numbers chosen above are examples). So only compare your timeline to other BUYERS in the same province as you (also some provinces have different queues for from private and for from business).

Most important, remember how long you waited and how the government treated you when the next election rolla around...
 
I am in BC. Bought one from Ontario Business in the end of September 2022. Ref#604###x. How did u know your status is initiated and approval? I’ve wait for 3 months already.

Hi GN. I was told they are closed Tuesday Dec 27th in lieu of Christmas, which was on a Sunday. Same for January 1st. Monday Jan 2 is off because New Years Day is on a Sunday. This is what I was told two weeks ago when I called. I've been misinformed before. "I call it lieing", but tomato tomato. And thanks to you and the guys for keeping the chart updated.
 
Regarding first time restricted purchasers waiting on their new RPAL with the ATT attached;

My first restricted was approved on Nov, 28. I just got off the phone with Miramichi and the lady told me there had been a malfunction with the printer, so there was a backlog. She told me it was still probably a week out before they got to mine and it gets mailed out.

How does one get it approved over the phone ? Is it through extension x9530 or 18007314000, 1,4,1 (firearm transfer start or completion) or something else entirely?

BC CFO:

1-800-731-4000 x9530

They only take calls between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm Pacific Time.

P.S. So I could use redial, through some trial and error, I found the following had the correct number/length of pauses: 😉

Called in and they approved it!

Edit: 6058###, November 28th started, approved today via call in to BC.
