Hello all.

I'm in the process of joining a range and will be writing my rpal shortly. After the lengthly process to get the rpal back i hope to shoot at a couple of different ranges. My question is in regards to the att in order to do this. I have some friends that live a hr away that belong to a range and would be nice to hit one of their ranges with them. Do i have to get a short term att to travel to a different range with my own pistols? Must happen alot considering there are events for ipsc. Thanks for any help.

Here in NS it covers the trip to the gun club and return to your residence. Also any approved range in the province. It doesn't state anything about distance or what approved range as long it's a provincal range approved for restricted firearms.

ON ATTs cover all ranges in the province.

A minor detail and I am sure tiriaq has forgotten more about this than most if us will ever know, but in my experience ATTs obtained through most clubs cover all CFO approved ranges in Ontario.

To transport restricted firearms to DND ranges you need a different long term ATT, obtainable through the ORA and (I believe) OSA, and perhaps other organizations.

Alternatively you can request a short term ATT from the CFO upon presentation of an invitation to a particular match, course etc. at a DND range.
