Transporting deer

I don't see any mention of this in the Ontario regulations. If a group of 4 hunters shot 1 deer and they decide to quarter it at camp because they live far away from each other and don't want to have it professionally butchered what is the procedure on transporting the quarters? Is this legal? Can you just record the tag and name of the hunter who had the tag issued to his/her name in case you are stopped by a CO?

You have to provide the name and outdoors card info of the tag hodler as well as the tag number IIRC.

We've used it before, we just wrote a little letter that had that info and the tag holder contact info plus signature.
