Hey yall
What is the best /most accurate for yourself?
Got me a sx3. Buy was thinking a cynergy or citori becuase I love the look of them.
Someone else told me that they love the remington 1100 to trap shoot. So what do you like to shoot and has proven for you?
Realability? Accuracy? FeEl?
Just looking on some opinion's and experience.

Thanks!

Some 50 odd shotguns later, still love the feel of a Winchester Model 12 Trap.
In use at present are Beretta DT-10 (feels pretty damn good too), a Remington 870, a Union Armera (Grulla) SxS and a Beretta 391 Parallel Target.
They all shoot well and are very reliable. Have had no issue or parts breakage yet with any one of them.
"Accuracy" is not a word I'd use to describe a shotgun's performance whatsoever.
Hitting what you are looking at has to more with fit, balance and how you mount and swing the gun.
To me a "Trap" gun and a "Skeet" gun are two separate guns. Some "crossover" type guns, like "Sporters" with an adjustable comb for instance, can do a credible job at both, but ideally are not quite interchangeably suited for both.

The more I play these games the more I conclude gun doesn't matter as much as the person who pulls the trigger. If it shoots where I'm looking and doesn't knock the snot out of me everything else is on my shoulders.

I've owned a variety of guns over the years. Lately I've been shooting a Beretta DT11 and like it but I can shoot just as well with my Beretta 391 or any other gun that fits me. The magic doesn't come from the gun but from the shooter.

I have shot clean rounds of skeet with an SX-3, several Citori shotguns in 12, 20 and 28 gauge, and with a 20 gauge AYA number 2. I have shot very little trap, but I have shot clean rounds with a Citori XT, and with a 725 trap. Whatever you do, don't choose a gun based on looks or style, choose a gun that fits you.

Ya I looked I go to this course in Alberta that does both so I guess I do both at the same time. So it's a sporting clay course.

You can golf with a hockey stick and visa versa. Or you can buy instruments specific to the sport.
Maybe a dramatic example, but illustrates the point.

I shoot a Beretta 391 but it has an adjustable comb and rib so I can quickly adjust it to shoot high low or flat depending on what trap, skeet or sporting clays target I am trying to shoot. I still miss...lol

Ok well I'm pretty new to sport shooting. So I guses I was just looking to ask the more experience guys what's a good gun to shoot all around skeet or trap

The gun does matter. It has to fit the shooter or your scores will suffer. I'm not a big clays shooter, but do get out 10 or so times a year. I shoot an A400 beretta and had to adjust the drop in the stock and the LOP. Fits me pretty good now. Shot my buddies Browning XS special and it's the best fitting shotgun I have ever shot. Now I just have to come up with the $4000 to buy myself one.

The experienced guys will tell you that the fit of the gun is most important, and that varies from person to person. You cant learn fit on the internet - go to the club, watch and learn. You will likely get a chance to shoot a few $3000 guns, and find out what fits you...
In the meantime, your SX3 is a good platform to practice your shooting skills - particularly if you plan to use it for hunting.

Don't know what brand is the best but if you ever watch ISSF Shotgun World Cup, The top three most used brands are Beretta, Perazzi, and Krieghoff. The men tend to use Beretta DT 11 more than anything else and the women tend to use a Beretta 692 more than anything else. Both Lu Min and Zhu Jingyu use a simple 686 Sporting and Lu Min even won a Bronze medal about a month ago in Rio in the womens Skeet finals and the gun didn't even have a recoil pad. So therefore, you obviously don't need the most expensive gun to win it just needs to fit.

Why not go to your club, take your sx3 and get some lessons. I may be wrong, but don't the sx3's come with shims to adjust the fit? If so maybe get some help to adjust the gun to you. After going through numerous shotguns myself I realize it's usually the shooter and not the gun that makes the difference. Cheers Bac4

Okay, I'll bite. Why would you sell your SX3? Are you fit issues? Reliability issues? With Full Choke for trap, I/C or Skeet for Skeet and that gun is suited to doing both jobs, it is well made.

I guess the OP wants into the exclusive O/U club ... Shoulda said that in the first place. Buy the most expensive B gun you can afford, with lots of engraving, nice wood, etc.. Its important to be lookin' good when you miss.
Oh - and removable chokes are kinda important if you want to shoot the various clay sports.
