Trappers catch problem predators

Before humans showed up in North America the wolves and other animals were in balance! It is not the wolves fault, it is the invasive species called humans that are the problem!

That means a lot of springtime landmines to scoop up.

Haha, yes, but if those landmines are anywhere close to the house then those dogs aren't doing their jobs (unless your livestock are also close to the house, in which case the dog doo is probably buried under other, slightly less offensive feces!)

Yes. I am from the South Riding Mountain Park area too. Have friends there that lost a few cows and calves to wolves this year too. It’s ok for them to cull the elk herds and waist the meat but if you dare shot one or two they would lock you up and throw away the key. Friends of mine are also dealing with the TB Taskforce and well, dealing with Government is dealing with Government, we see how that’s going with our gun laws for example. The big city officials seem to think they know what’s best for the farmers.

They just finished counting elk around the park, population is down to 600 now… 600 elk… In a national park that size surrounded by farmland, that’s pathetic.

Cyanide guns set up, and laced baits properly set up was effective control. Mostly wolves dead but did get a few fox n coyote. But it didn’t look very good when the CO brings a CBC journalist along the plane ride, hopping set to set, and he sees the odd dead eagle. Without this technique, trappings the only way.
