Trapping Forum?

I take it there is no dedicated Trapping Forum? Or is the Hunting Forum the place for it?

Dont see much discussion on here about it.

I know there are a few trappers on the board maybe not enough for their own section though.

Not many guys trapping in my area any more. Used to know at least 8 guys trapping coyotes up into the 80`s, most died or quit when gas got expensive. I still know a couple that trap rats and coyotes but it takes a dedicated fellow.

Good idea actually. Trappers use guns, some can even legally carry handguns.

I think we need one, maybe more would get interested in trapping if there was a forum dedicated to it.

There alot of great tips on trapping just go on Youtube. Not so much with making lures. I've been trapping since I was 16 years old and just enjoy doing it. A small section would be nice as other members will chime in even if there not trappers.

How about ditching the "Airgun" forum. That one gets less action than a white crayon.

From my breif foray into trapping i can say that those who are currently trapping have no time for a forum. They are either working and trapping , which requires a 25 hour day or they are a full time trapper which means unless they have wireless to the fur shed they don't have time either. I give lots of respect to trappers , because it is a lot of time and a lot of work.

I go to canadian trappers talk forum all the time. It's pretty good. There's lots of tips and pictures on there. what kind of info are you looking for? I trap quite a few wolves and coyotes but don't bother with much else.

When I was about their age I sometimes would be skinning rats all night. Would try to get some sleep before my dad woke me but usually dreamt about skinning more rats.
