Travel cases

These are the inserts I purchased for the pelican V800 double rifle case.

I use the Plano All-Weather rifle case... close to as tough as the Pelican at less than half the price. I avoid flying with it as much as possible by mailing my rifle and extra gear (fishing rods, knives, lazer rangefinder etc...) in the case via Canada Post in advance of the hunt. This is cheaper than baggage fees and FAR less hassle while travelling and clearing security... plus you can get confirmation that your rifle has arrived prior to departure, and avoid the possibility of a lost gun case and a ruined hunt.

I have a Cabelas Armor Extreme 2 rifle case that I use for the one rifle and a multitude of other stuff. Cabelas USA sells the cut table foam for it and will ship it here for cheap. I'm sure there are better but it has survived and more importantly my rifles and gear have. It does wear scars from battles with airline personnel though.

Hoyt, for whatever reason, it's never clued into my pea brain to mail the case in advance but dammit that is a fantastic idea. Thank you for the tip
