Travelling to South Africa for idpa and Ipsc matches

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong area to post in but I figured this is probably where I may find some info regarding this.

I was hoping to find out from anyone who might have gone to South Africa fairly recently to compete in IPSA and /or IPSC matches what forms and other requirements there are and where to find them? My understanding is the laws changed about 8 years ago for visitors and handguns.

Looking specifically for handguns not long gun info.

I realize this is a long shot but figured someone here may have done so.

Any info is much appreciated.

i do not think RSA is a gun friendly country as it was ....

in those days the crew of SAL/ SAA was taking the rifles and handguns directly to the cockpit of the 747 up to J'oburg ...
