Tree stand thieves

Let me put this question out there....If I just received permission to hunt a 15 acre property that no one else has permission to hunt and the landowner is in their late 70's and cant monitor his property if I find 9 treestands on his property and he tells me that they arent suppose to be there and I can take them down and have them are they mine??? He has chased people off his property for years until he became unable to and they know they arent suppose to be there!! After 2 home invasions and 1 beating he just doesnt trust confronting anyone anymore!

Ask him don't ask us it's his land. He may view your act as putting him in further danger, or he may view your act as help. In the end it's his call.

As an agent for the landlord, you can take them down alright, but they are not yours. If someone parks his car on your property without permission, you can have it removed but you cant lay ownership on it just because you found it on your land.

90 days.... you have to safely store and return if asked to0 for 90 days (you may charge for storage or reimbursement for storage if you store at 3rd party location). Afterwards it is considered abandoned.

I can't really see any of these people coming to ask for them knowing they are trespassing but your advice is the best I have heard yet!!! Thanks

i had a dead beat tenet when I owned a house, she left all her stuff at my place when i evicted her. I had to look it up and figure out what my legal obligations were in dealing where her belongings... 90 days is alberta, it can very depending what province you live in.

License plate #. Real easy if you want to go further.

The place where the trees were cut down had pot plants growing. The cops would not come out when I found them and when they did make it out days later the pot was removed. Early from what I hear and I am sure the people or person growing it had game cams up and were watching the area. I did give the police these pictures and pictures from years gone by and do not expect them to do anything about people trespassing either.

Pile them up by the road. They should be gone pretty quick.

Can you just drop them off at your local CO's office and tell people they can pick them up there? Could be interesting.
