TRESPASSING Turkey Hunters

We get to our tree stand before first light and see a pair of boots up there. Partner says in a loud wisper "Jim! there is a bear in your stand Blast him!!" A loud voice says" WAIT WAIT!I"M A PERSON!!!" .He scrambles down says" Sorry wrong place" and runs off. Partner says "Do you smell sh*t??" We still laugh at it over some beer JITC
 
The "Law of the Wild" stipulates that you should mark your territory by removing their blinds a safe distance and then throughly soaking them with urine (doesn't have to be your own). Know any pig farmers?
 
I was under the same impression with posting red-dots and the owner NOT being allowed to hunt if there is no hunting signs...I'm in NB though and the rules may differ from ontario's

Any chance the access point the hunters are entering from is not posted? According to the Tresspass to Property Act. regarding posting

Markings under this section shall be so placed that a marking is clearly visible in daylight under normal conditions from the approach to each ordinary point of access to the premises to which it applies. R.S.O. 1990, c. T.21, s. 7 (4).

I am not condoning the hunters actions just want to maker sure that all your bases are covered if you confront them?

That's a good point on which to get the facts straight. Does a "No Hunting" sign really prohibit the owner or his invited guests from hunting, or does it just make it clear that you can't walk in and shoot as you wish? I think the former is true, as a "No Trespassing" sign would be more appropriate - you can't hunt if you're not on the property. The problem with an owner hunting on his "No Hunting" posted property is that a trespasser would not expect hunters, thus wouldn't wear Hunter Orange and/or make their presence well known, and could be mistaken for game.

Lots of theories (like mine) - anyone know the facts on this?
 
Red dots indicate no trespassing and cover all activities, hunting or not. Fences are also deemed to be no trespassing indicators signs or not.

The red dots should be placed every 25 meters and be visible. A lot of these red dots are put on in winter and covered over by leaves in the summer.

Cops wouldnt likely show up.

Every year I throw Mario and Luigi off my property I called the cops the first few times. They never show, no use.

The fun part is arguing with Luigi about how he got permission. He always claims to have "talked to the owner". I guess he still hasnt figured out that the owner is me.


Tresspassing should be punishable by death, especially during hunting season.

Just tell 911 what there are 2 armed men in camoflauge skulking around and you are pretty sure they are drunk.

If you would just take the free spaghetti and hair grease sign down then you might be rid of those guys with out the hassle.

Not in Saskatchewan. You can post your land "No Trespassing" or "No Hunting" and still hunt on your land. That has changed recently. Previously if you posted "No Hunting" it meant the landowner as well. That's no longer the case.
I post my land "No Trespassing" because I don't want the dog walkers, snowmobiles, quads, booze-cruizers, kids humping, non-of-it.
 
Well the scoop is that the landowner is personal friends with the regional police and has their comittment to show up. The deal with these fellas is that they have already been advised to stay off, and will be again via a letter from the landowners lawyer hand delivered. The signage will go up this week and as will the dots on the trees...I should use yellow you say?

In British Columbia, if a NO HUNTING sign is posted, the landowner -or anyone else he gives permission to- may hunt there.

NO HUNTING sign simply means that you may not hutn wihtout permission.
 
If you see a picture on the front page of the Toronto Sun on April 26th of a shocked camo clad hunter with a turkey decoy stuffed in his ass and a no trespassing sign around his neck, you can be confident that this is the story behind it. I'll take digitals!

bingo, and it is like that for anywhere else in canada( ONTARIO for sure)...you could write a sign that says no playing hopscoth while smoking a cigar and wearing a bikini top on sundays, and you could still do it any time you want( provided you are the land owner or have permission from)

I didn't read any of the responces before this one, but any body that said other wise from what I just said deserves to be beat with a rubber dildo:slap:
