I see that Kinetic offers a folding stock option for the TRG, does anyone have one? what do you like/not like about it? how solid is it when locked up? any weight savings? where did you buy it?

"...what are the laws..." Same as they are for any other part. Folding stocks do not belong on target/precision rifles though. Folding stocks were invented for armoured/vehicle crews.

Try carrying a TRG42 through the bush for days on end ! With stock folded and slung on back, it catches branches etc far less .

Anyhoo , the KRG stock fit and finish and quality of machine work is outstanding . Locks up super solid

Bought it direct and had it imported. Took forever though .

Makes the OAL much more manageable when going through heavy bush

If you think its expensive price out a replacement OEM stock for TRG-42 . My buddy managed to crack his!

Then price out the OEM folding for TRG-42 ( its $3000 !!! )

Wrong, many applications where transport of precision rifles is greatly simplified by folding stocks.

I do not have a TRG but I own a Whiskey 3 chassis and it is a folder and it is a very high quality piece of equipment. I got mine from Spartan Precision, Rich (the owner) is a good guy to deal with. The wait may be awhile but well worth it in my opinion.

Get mine from Rich also...

I have the KRG stock for my trg22 and it is a very worthwhile upgrade. Very adjustable, very solid, and very reasonably priced given the quality.
