hi,

ok, so I spent today CROing Wentworth - lots of work, we had a lot of fun getting all those movers worked out (quite a few reshoots on things not activating), but by the 3rd squad or so things we running pretty smoothly.

So, yeah, lots of movers, some disappearing some not, several pieces of steel. I hear from others that in the other clubs there are prone stages, 1 hand stages, wear-an-eye-patch stages, etc... Should be fun! My knees are killing me, will be taking tomorrow off (wasn't signed up to work anyway) and shooting on Sunday...

Big Thank yous to Dave, Ian, Peter and all the Range staff.
Was a great match. I was in 3rd or latter squad and everything work as it should. Only shooter error. I don't believe my squad had a single reshoot.
Great job again to all. or should I say Arr!.

That was my first triangle match. You guys are first rate. I had a lot of fun.
The plank and the patch thing was a hoot.

ARRRRR MATIEEEEE

Triangle Match

My hat is off to all the guys and gals who helped organize this event. It takes a lot of time and a lot of effort from a lot of people to pull something like this off. The stages were challenging and well thought out. I shoot the second half of the course better than the first half. I made several "mental" errors in the first half. But I learn something every time that I shoot one of these events. And I had fun! Thanks a lot to everyone involved.

Just a thought but other smaller clubs who have close neighbouring clubs should think about this idea. In the Windsor area a lot of years ago we did a similar thing where we had 3 level 1 on three different weekends, which you could shoot individually or all three for combined score of level 3. Great time had by all, good way to build interclub interest and co operation. Unfortunately one of the clubs has now closed and the other No Longer shoots IPSC. This format was also tougher on the out of towners.

Great match boys, Having been lucky enough to get into all five I think I can safely say this was the best one yet, possibly the warmest. So if you missed out, you screwed up. Thanks for not allowing to me to skip out Dave. I was very impressed by Burlington, we were actually able to see the targets clearly for the first time thanks to some well placed flood light:p which worked as great hand warmers if you were tall enough to reach them. What happed to the hand blow dryer/warmer in the rest room?
Thanks to every one involved, my glass is raised, as should eveyone else's, cheers

The match and the stages were well done. (Cheers To Ya) :D As well had a great time catching up with some old friends and as always meeting new ones.:dancingbanana:

Now it has been about 5 hours passed the last rd fired. Where are the results  come on :runaway::runaway: hurry up :dancingbanana:

Cheers

Results are done (posted at the club in Burlington)

I will submit them to IPSC.org and IPSC Ontario today after lunch.

I was going to do it last nite...but that 6 hour drive home is a killer

Cheers

hey, we all appreciate the hours of typing and mind numbing number crunching that you guys do to put all this together so quickly and efficiently - take you time, do it when you can... We know they'll be up as soon as you can make that happen...

Thanks to all who put this thing together. All the hours and hard work paid off with a day well spent by all of us. There were some fun and challenging stages, and everything ran very smoothly, as was expected. The tri-angle has become one of my must-not-miss matches. I loved the swinger/dropper stage at Wentworth. Nice job everyone!

And thanks to all for making my friend Tom welcome. He had a blast spectating and will probably be sourcing out a black badge instructor in the coming year.

Yes, thanx to all for a great match ! I enjoyed it very much so !

I didn't shoot as well as I'd like to have, way too many C hits & 2 Mikes, but had a fun time doing so.

Great shooting w/ everyone on my squad. I will not post the group photo on this site or any other (unless you all want me to?)

If you want a copy of it, PM me w/ you email address.

See some of you at Sin City, I should be able to make this one (I have to be in Windsor that weekend for work) so good timing :)

Cheers

I with Madness have been luck to have shot all 5 matches and this on was the best by far. Mr Huta, Quigley , Julie and Evey body else that had any thing to do with putting on this match A huge thank you. This has turn into the best match of the year in Ontario bar none. If you missed this match this year you would well advised to get in next year you will not be disappointed.

Ohhh, I can just imagine the flame war I'm going to stir up with this, but...

I don't agree with the above. To agree with this statement would be to take away from the other fine matches we had in Ontario this year, and there were plenty (the Nationals were fantastic, the Quebec provincials were up to their usual excellent standard, etc). Let's say that the Triangle is consistently one of the top matches we are fortunate enough to have in this province every year, and it only gets better with each passing year. They all have slightly different character, and while individual shooters might enjoy one over another more, I don't think it's realistic to try and 'rank' them, which one is/was the best in any absolute terms...

Fair enough?

That's it ? 130 shooters at the triangle match & no more comments after results posted ?

Well, I didn't shoot as well as I can, but not as bad as I thought. Still placed o.k.

Quigley, any awards given at this match ? I finished as 3rd "M" at 77%

Hmm....true master percentage..:p  ;)

Congrats to all the winners (overall & class..etc...)
