Triangle??

Triangle

Shot the match yesterday for the first time. I shot OK, but sure had a great time. My thanks to all the organizers and officials for a fantastic job, and I will be back again next year.

14 rounds and the only DQ! my first time ever being DQ'd. shot one stage did ok for a first start, shoot 2 rounds on the second stage and get "asked to leave" for shooting the wall. my fault totally, but kinda dumb really.

Matt Cheely (sp?) won production, Jamiesson was 2nd, I was 3rd, Cliff was 4th... Wade won Std, Francisco was 2rd, Rob E was 3rd... Don't know about Open.

I was actually quite relieved, there was only 1 stage where my ####ed up back screwed me (with the pull down rope/barrier/etc), everywhere else it didn't factor in.. I did screw up 2 stages all on my own, hahahaha (repeat after me... Don't try to make up a C with an A in a VIRGINIA COUNT stage!! ;) ), so I totally expected someone like ipsc1 or Jamiesson to win - I didn't know about the US shooter until we looked at some of the stage results... Cool!

It was a lot of fun as usual, I'm sad I didn't get to help out in Wentworth on Fri like I always do (that back injury), but next year for sure ;) !!!!

had unusual jam

I shot today and had a blast.
I had a couple of bad shots, and a couple of brain farts....non that i can blame on my healing ankle....
on my last target of the day, far right stage at burlington...shoot'n in pretty good time (for me) and the gun jams...rack it..still will not close. rack it again, again, again.....reload new mag, rack. still does not want to fully close and chamber the round...so i stop and take the 2 mikes, and failure to engage:confused::(:(
so checked it at club before leaving, but too lazy to fully inspect it there, made sure it's safe and took it home......
what caused the jam ? ? the bottom half of the casing of the last shot was extracted..leaving 1/4" or so of brass ring in chamber :eek::eek:
I'm sure it's not the first time to happen, but i never seen it or heard of it before.
congrats to all the winners and to all who shot and had fun :D:D

Hmmm, third in my first level 3 in 6 years, I'll take it!...lol
Too bad about the sloppy points I shot.

I know the feeling Pat.
6 Mikes an average of most likely c,c.
I looked like a one armed taliban out there.

ok so I wasn't DQ'd actually. (still haven't been YAY!) talked to Dave H today and he was incredibly gracious about something that really wasn't a problem for me. I still had an absolute blast at this match, and will be back next year to shoot the whole thing. Thanks to all who set this up and ran it.

Yup, it was loads of fun even though I shot like an old blind guy. Slavex was a great sport in light of not being able to complete the match. Many others would have been quite grumpy after traveling all that way to not compete. A true sportsman.

Lots of fun at dinner afterwards also.

Thanks to all who worked hard to set it up and run things. Much obliged.

what is failure to engage??? I know of failure to shoot at... if it was written failure to engage I would have arbitrated that... zip it Madness I know what ur gonna say....lol

becareful how you extract that casing... I would have a professional do it...It happened to me... if you don't use a reamer you'll mess up ur barrel ... when it happened to me it blew up and dropped my mag good thing it was in my para and not my STI ... could have caused some serious hand ouch

Actually, the partial casing came out easy...true, i wanted to engage the last target...should have thrown a bullet at it..so i can not lose the 10 points.:p
maybe i would have even hit the target and picked up an "A" "C" as well :p:p
