Coyote hunting has just caught my interest this year and reading your posts, new and old, have got me practicing calls and doing some recce. I now have a good idea of coyote populations. where they are and where I might set up depending on wind direction/cover so please keep posting your hunts. Very informative and entertaining!

If I was in your place, I'd be looking for bigger game. Way more fun and you don't have far to go, tactics are the same. Wolves and coyotes don't coexist well, guess who suffers.

Good shooting and keep up the good work . I guess your still using your Savage Axis 223 ? from what I have read they are very accurate .

Yes.......... but this year I have loaded my own bullets.....25.5 BL-C(2) with a Hornady 55 Vmax... and it does (so far) shoots and kills well....
