Tricks for aligning rear sight

I just changed the sights on my PPQ Navy. The front ones were a breeze (just unscrew, pop off, re-screw) and fit into the pre-drilled hole in the slide.

The rear sights had to drifted into place and whereas I'm pretty good at eye-balling it to see if it's centered and aligned correctly, I got to wondering if there's an easier way to check. What are some of your tricks, or is the only way trial and error?


EDIT: My PPQ Navy doesn't have the plunger-stop to push the rear sight up against

What about measuring the diff side to side with a set of calipers..

Eyeball and then shoot.

You can use a set of digital calipers if you are really anal about it.

Id just shoot and adjust as needed, just becouse its in the center dosnt mean its going to shoot where you want.
