Hello all,

I own, among other items, a Remington 700 BDL in .25-06 and a Savage 111 FCXP3 in .30-06. I would like to have the trigger pull adjusted on each - down to about 3 lbs. The Savage in particular is kind of a beast. My problem is that I cannot find a gunsmith who is willing to do it (I live in the Moose Jaw area of Saskatchewan). So, I've determined to attempt the job on my own. I have a fair bit of mechanical savvy, so I should be alright in terms of the skill set (and probably the hand tools) needed for the task. What I do not have are clear directions about how to proceed with the respective trigger mechanisms. Hence, this is what I'm asking the CGN community for - seasoned advice and knowledge.

Thanks in advance,

-Brendan

Some good articles on trigger adjustment can be found at the "SniperCountry.com" website. Go to the articles and commentaries "HowTo" section and you will find instructions on both types of triggers.
Be sure to read the section about the proper method of testing your trigger for safety, after adjustment.
