trigger adjustments

I was under the impression that the triggers on remington 770's were neither adjustable or replaceable. I read on a different site that they can be adjusted and/or replaced. Which is the truth?

they are both adjustable and replaceable.

I adjusted the weight of the pull on my trigger according to instructions. It slowly crept back to its original weight over the next few hundred shots, as this trigger was not really designed to be adjusted. that is why the screws are covered with sticky goop from the rem factory.

I then replaced the trigger with a fully adjustable timney. this is a real trigger if you care about your results.

any tips on adjusting the factory one?
