it finally showed up, took a couple weeks to get here but my trigger for my r700 finally came in. so as i proceeded to open the box and get excited i realized all of my tools are packed up as were moving this friday. so now the damn thing is just gonna sit in my safe and look pretty while i wait. this could be the hardest things ive had to do all week. lol. but on a plus side its assembled with the safety on it, the instructions on the companies website said i would need to put the safety in myself.

this is a useless posts, i know it is, im just sharing my excitement with you guys :D

rifle basix, set to about 5 ounces. should be a little nicer than the x mark pro the gun came with :)

ill cope, ill fill my time with drinking and packing the gun safe up. lol

i figure for the price you cant go wrong, read some good reviews on them so i thought id give it a shot, and its half the price of other triggers and offers a lot of adjustment. how do you find yours stacks up to other brands youve tried?

Otokiak, pics will come next week, ill shine the trigger up just for you, lol. its buried in a box along with a bunch of other gun related stuff and the gun is locked in my safe and theres a mountain of crap against the safe. couple more days, thanks god i cant stand living in a house with boxes everywhere. i feel like im in college again, we have 2 dishes a few glasses some cutlery and a couple bowls in our kitchen, in fact i think i lived better than this while in college, lol

The Rifle Basix is OK since they shipped me new springs and screws. I had a plunger system in it and couldn't get it to work form day one. Gave up and emailed them one day to complain and they send me new parts for free! The plunger actually froze up on my last hunting season and it became unsafe, I had it fire once just dropping the bolt.
The Shilens are good, but the one got hairy once I started playing with the adjustments. The factory settings on these triggers is optimum, once you try to adjust em, you are likely doing more harm than good.

good to know, sometimes leaving things alone is the best way to go. nice to know that these guys stand behind their product, hopefully ill have more luck than you from the start. have you played with the adjustments on the rifle basix trigger?

ill be fine, i played with a buddies prohib last night, its enough to keep me going for a few days, lol

Well I had to adjust the rifle basix. It was wanky from the get go and after they sent me new guts I had to set it up 100%. Its easy to do.
Problem with adjusting these triggers is they come from teh factory with the optimal setting. If you lighten it chances are you will add creep, if you adjust the sear to reduce creep you chance unsafe firing. You can play with everything to find that sweet spot where its light and safe, but chances are the factory setting was where it is.

im sure ill leave it alone, i think it said from factory its between 4 and 7 ounces, something along those lines which im more than happy with. anything beats the "1.5" pounds the x mark claims to tun down to, lol
