Trigger For Stevens 200

Your gun will do way better than that. My .223 was shooting moa with factory winchester white box HP's from Wal-Mart when I first got it. Now, with 55gr. V-Max and a bedding job in the plastic stock, it's sub-moa.

Good to hear, i really do expect better from it, however i was not going for supreme accuracy that day seeing as it was about -25 and i just wanted to get it sighted in for some yote hunting later in the week.

The explanation from the factory was quite disturbing it seems the barrel was to tight causing excess pressure and the bolt was machined wrong.Bad machining on a bolt i can understand maybe some of the tooling was worn or out of spec, but installing a barrel with to tight tolerances was unacceptable to me anyway.

What yardage was that group shot?

Those stocks look great! Think I'm going to look for a nice laminate Savage takeoff.

I think you will find the Timney a big improvement on the original trigger.

My hunting buddy dropped a Timney into his Stevens 22-250 (which he is very happy with) and is having a Boyds thumbhole stock installed. Should be a completely different rifle except for the excellent accuracy.

I was getting around MOA at 300 yards for 5 shots with my stevens 223. I dropped in the timney and the first groups shrank by 3/4" to around 21/4". I find the lighter trigger makes for much more relaxing shooting.

I may try a Sharp Shooter Supply in the savage package gun I just picked up. Just for a comparison.

Anyone using the SSS trigger?
