Got my new shorty from Can-Am, cleaned it, put it in a Chu wood stock and went shooting. Now I want to clean the thing and I can't get the trigger group out! Almost seems to me that the trigger guard isn't moving quite as far as it should, thus hanging up the works in the rifle.

The trigger group was a tight fit in the synthetic stock and equally so in the wood stock, tight enought that a tap with a mallet was needed to remove it originally. Suggestions?

mine is tight as he** to get out to clean the first time and had quiet a fight to get it back togather. far from the first M14 ive taken apart. tight is good yes. this shorty overall is very good, dont need to shim the gas system, trigger group TIGHT. op rod guide in the middle like it should be. sight adjustments tight and good. just one thing. dam fron site machined crooked. be great if they could get that figured

Got it back together, Just had to use some more force to close the trigger guard. She's all cleaned up now, almost ready to go, just need to get some grease. Very impressed with this rifle

iam very impressed as well with the rifle but my safty needs to be pushed in with the tip of my finger to engae,i mean it engages way past the interior of my trigger guard.
