Trigger guard on AR15 rubbing middle finger

Hey guys, wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this happen. It appears that the grip (Magpul MOE K2) is sitting "high" in the frame and the side of my middle finger (near the knuckle) is rubbing on the back edge of the trigger guard leading to a sore spot.

Couple of thoughts:
1) Grow a pair and stop complaining
2) Stick a piece of gun tape on the ridge
3) Shim the grip so it sits lower in the frame (would have to figure that one out)
4) New grip

Any thoughts?

I had the same issue... switched out the trigger guard to the Magpul polymer version.. works great! no more rubbing the middle finger.

If it's what I'm thinking, just replace the trigger guard altogether. I had the same issue with my K2+ and a milspec trigger guard. Put a KAC trigger guard on, problem solved. I'm sure the magpul or BCM ones would work all the same.

I'd say this is your best option. You get what you want without having to tweak things that weren't meant to be tweaked.

Remember; a soft, supple hand is a tactical hand.

Haha tactical hands haha.

The part that is rubbing is the aluminium mount where the guard pin goes into, it is sitting lower than the grip. I will see if I can grab a picture.

Callous is forming but I am a softie
