That looks dumb as ####...

I agree. However, people are free to modify as they wish, provided it's not illegal.

Not a previously un-thought-of idea. Do an image search for "Fitz special".

In my opinion, which is worth every dime you paid for it, it looks kinda badass on a stubby revolver, but appreciably less so on a 1911. But it's not mine, it's the OP's, and to answer his question again, nope, not illegal. Go nuts. :)

That one does look crappy. I had this in mind:

(Sorry, I still can't post attachments.)

Fixed it.
(on a computer right click and open image in new tab/ touch screen press and hold the image select view image, copy the url usually ending in .jpg, go back to cgn, when writing the post click the box that looks like a window with a tree and paste the url in the pop up then click ok)

And for the record in my opinion this one would look nicer with a trigger guard and some different grips but someone paid close to 23, 000 usd for it so to each their own i suppose.

Going to be hard to get a trigger lock to work. LOL.

Too true - and then there's the old competition rules - Holster must completely cover the trigger guard (that's going to be tough) and the fact that some poor old Fudd at the Club is going to have a coronary an aneurism and a stroke simultaneously. Then there's the problem that no instructor in the country is going to let that show up to a course. All in all a very bad idea, but even in Canada, not an illegal one. Yet.

I like it. Post a pic of the underside and lets see how the filing job turned out.

Don't mind the haters. They can't help it.

OP asked if this was legal. Answered.
Legal questions should be posted in the Legalese section.
