Has anyone ever had any work done to their Browning BAR to remedy the creepy, sh#$tty trigger they all seem to have? Just starting to accurize my new BAR Safari in 7mm RemMag and it is deadly accurate with handloads, inside an inch at 200m!!!, I just have to put up with and be conscious of the crummy trigger.

Any advice is appreciated thanks.

I had the trigger on my BAR lightweight stalker adjusted down to about 3.5lbs and very little creep. It made a world of difference, just make sure you get a good smith to do the work.

what, the BAR needs a trigger ADJ? are you sure? I have been thinking about getting one, that new fancy short trac European stock model, she's so sweet! Honestly, am I looking at trigger alterations, for sure? wtf John M B?

I haven't shot one of the new style BAR's, just the steel reciever Safari's, I still believe that it is one of the coolest autoloader's I have ever shot and despite the less than Bolt gun good trigger, I am sure I can live with it. After being patient and shooting it a bunch to learn the gun, I have learned this:

1. It has a sh$#tty trigger that I will get used to.

2. I don't think Browning lies when they say it will deliver bolt gun accuracy as I just scratched the surface with loading for this gun and I had it inside an inch at 200m.

3. It doesnt like factory ammo, at least not the brands I tried.

4. I will have it for a long time as it shoots like a dream and balances well and is still a lot cooler than most hunting rifles.

Triggers and teets........either you like them or you don't.
If you can't get them to the point of liking, move on.
Ain't worth the hassle.
