Who would be recommended to do a trigger job on a Ruger Security Six? What would be the value of this revolver in 6" ? LNIB

If it’s LNIB the trigger job would probably hit the value more than hurt.

I would think a LNIB stainless 6” could get 600-700.

The one I had only wolf spring kit was needed for me. I would like to buy one for 400 dollars but most likely would have to pay 500 for a nice one. These have been under valued for the quality for years but now as GP 100 are 1000 bucks and big heavy tools security sixes are coming into there own. Auctions have hit the 550 mark easily.

Same here for mine, just replaced the mainspring and trigger return spring. Made a big difference. You may have misfires if you use the lightest mainspring, so try it with different weights.

The trigger assembly drops out the bottom. You tube will show how to take it out and do a bit of polishing yourself. And as et of Wolf springs would lighten it up, too.

The Ruger, unlike the Smith or Colt, can be worked on without a factory course.

The pics were not clear as when I went over and bought it today it is blued but unfired near as I can tell? Value ?

If I was buying a new revolver, a like new Security Six would be on my list. With a trigger job, a very good gun. And not as clunky as a GP100.

I have 2 of them (both colours) and like them.

I would consider paying $500 to $600 for it.

Thank you I did ok then.Ordered a Wolff spring kit.CFO said transfer could take a couple months! Don't think so........................ I find an e-mail to the MP speeds things up.

I think I have new kit left?

Don't laugh I've had people that were getting foot dragging from the CFO's get a call from a politician and like magic it cleared in a week.
