Hi guys,

I just received my first .22LR Henry lever action rifle but I can't figure out the way to put a trigger lock on it.

I looked into the booklet that came with it and there are no hints to that.

Google doesn't know it and I couldn't find anything on the forum as well...

Help! :bangHead:

Danke!

Cable lock.
That is what I use on all of my lever guns.
Look in your firearms safety course material, it shows how to do it.

Thanks guys, I was able to figure it out.

Back then I used to own a 1873 44/40 Winchester and I couldn't use that way of locking it so when I got this one I was trying to figure a way to do as I did with the ol' Winchester.

Pretty darn dumb of me!

If you don't like cables there is a nice lock on fleabay.
Don't know if I am allowed to post a link so input "winchester marlin gun lock" and it will come up.
I ordered one but haven't got it yet so can't attest to quality.

a chunk of chain, a piece of hose, and a padlock- drop the chain in the hose to protect your stock, and padlock the ends together-

I don't think you need a trigger lock on your non restricted firearms. I know I never will. My safe is good enough and the law says it has to be unloaded when transporting. So in the back seat it goes.

These are the ones that I use on my lever action rifles and like them very much:

They're sold by the same guy "Texas Bear" on both Ebay and Gunbroker --- good guy to deal with and relatively cheap shipping.
