Apologies in advance if this topic has been addressed previously, but when I searched the Forum, nothing came up.

I am looking for two good quality trigger locks for a Sig Sauer P320 and a Glock X19. Not sure if the same trigger locks will work for both guns.

In my Google search of best trigger locks, Master Locks 94 DSPT and 90 TRISPT, FJM Security SX - 105, and Axiom XGLC were all rated highly.

However, I wanted some opinions from those with a lot more experience than I have.

Thanking you in advance.

Masterlock combination trigger locks are the standard of the industry. They're relatively easy-to-use. They're still terrible, with terrible 'security', and terrible 'quality control', but if employed properly they can be used to meet the legal requirement for a 'secure locking device'. They're cheap, and ubiquitous, and there's no key to lose.

Many Thanks Wendell. Since you are not 1,000% sold on Master Lock, any other suggestions?

Are you or anybody else familiar with Franzen combo trigger locks? Was looking at this lock on Amazon.ca; not cheap, but 92% of the reviews were 4 stars or better, with 80% at 5 stars.

Get the least expensive lock, that you're happy with the quality/performance of. All of them can be defeated with a couple of tools - or one tool and a vice.

I use Masterlock, mostly, along with Franzen, but lately I can seem to find is Masterlock. The trouble I've found is with the re-combination; contemporary Masterlock quality control is virtually non-existent. If you get a good Masterlock, it works okay, and if you don't Masterlock will then send you a replacement. I've only had a few Franzens; all three were good to go, so I wouldn't hesitate to choose Franzen over contemporary Masterlock products.

I use the Axiom combi locks. They do what they are required to do, never had one fail. Usually around $15 each

I might have 1 or 2 Master locks but they don't do anything better than the Axiom for more $

They will keep little kids and honest people from getting at the trigger.

I have a bunch of Master Lock keyed ones but you know I was thinking that’s a lot of keys so this time I bought a 3 pack of combination locks made by Franzen . Hope they are reliable !

One of the Axiom trigger locks is the thinnest on the market. Means that some pistol cases close more easily. All my locks are Axiom for this very reason.

Masters are huge, but work, mine are all keyed, for shows and glass cases, I used the 1.oo screw type as they are small, when I used them.
All my original masters where all keyed the same.

I would just get the cheapest one that locks. My goal is to meet the standard in the firearm act though and not much more. Can't remember if I got the masterlock version but they were like 2 in a pack for $20 at Cabelas.
