What's it like? Wholesale let me play with one a few weeks back but refused to let me dry fire it.

The one in question was DA but I'm curious about DAO as well.

Not really. If they let people pull the trigger no one would buy them!

Haha, I suppose that's true. I have to admit I do all of my buying online, so I guess I just made assumptions about how it must be to buy in person.

Mind you, if the trigger was pulled, say, 200-300 times on a snap cap before the gun was bought, I can't see it being much of an issue. I guess the trouble is that it wouldn't likely be only 200-300 times...

I've handled and shot a PX4. It's a decent gun with a fairly smooth DA pull similar to many other hammer fired DA/SA guns you'll find out there. Any differences are minor and would only be felt in side by side comparisons for the most part. The shape of the grip area is slightly more rounded than the big fat feel of the 92fs. But not quite as oval feeling as my CZ's.

From my own experience with both the 9mm & the .45 ACP the DAO isnt funny. Its long but not that heavy. Besides that they are just awsome and better than a Sig or a Glock in my opinion.

I have three PX4's and I personally like them a lot. There are a lot of haters out there but I think this gun is awesome and wouldn't hesitate to recommend one. The triggers are good for a DA/SA. No worries there. The barrels were a special run by Beretta for the Canadian market so I think that once they are all sold, it's unlikely we'll see them again anytime soon. I bought two for that reason and then a .45 Special Forces. YMMV.
