My cousin has an FNS9L. He's put a few thousand rounds through it, and I noticed the trigger was very gritty. Upon looking into it, the trigger is rubbing on one side of the frame as its being pulled. Has anyone else seen, or heard of this happening?
We were thinking of pulling the trigger out and sanding the frame, but heard it's a real PITA. I was also thinking that there might be something wrong that we can't fix.
Thoughts?

try working on the trigger rather than the frame...triggers are way easier to replace than frames. Smoothing up the frame may help though

Okay thanks. I guess we'll bite the bullet and pull her all apart to sand the trigger, or see what else might be causing it to rub on the frame.

This is normal. I believe in the fns there are a set of columns that keep the trigger bar from touching the actual frame wall. Correct me on this. But this is what's rubbing on the trigger bar and it's common.

Not sure if it's normal. Right where the trigger meets the frame there is a gap on one side, and it's totally rubbing with full contact on the other side. I'll have to get Dan to send me a picture to show what I mean. I can't remember what side it's rubbing on either.
