Who makes the best trigger on the market? Are Jewel triggers the best and if so what makes them better the say Timney or Canjars ?? I know that they are (Jewel) 3x the price and am wondering why??

Cheers!!

I have used both and they are both good triggers (Jewel and Canjar), depending on your rifle model Canjar may be the only option for you since they make triggers for many different models compared to Jewel. Sometimes a Timney is all we need all depends on the intended use. Canjars can be difficult to get at times, but they have given me good service when I needed some springs replaced.

Can they be had by a Cdn supplier?
Any of the well known shops will carry them.
Paul Reibin, Ed begg, ###, Baswhaw Spoerts, etc.
They are not hard to come by, but if I were going to get one installed and tuned and had never done it before, , I would go with a shop that caters to competition shooters.

If you are talking the 700 series of rifles - I have tried Timney, Shilen and Rifle Basix. I personally found the Rifle Basix the best - the Shilen was good but the Rifle Basix was made from lightweight aluminum and the trigger was nice and wide as opposed to Shilens which was fairly narrow. I didn't like the Timney at all.

I think you will find the Jewells hard to beat!

In general the lower exchange rate has made many specialty products affordable. Our prices on Jewell triggers are probably the lowest published prices in Canada. We sell a small pile of them and have yet to have one come back.

Canjar triggers are nice but not clearly above Jewells. Canjars are expensive and parts carry a long wait time. Based on this alone, I feel they are not the best choice.

We are still waiting on Kelbly triggers which should have been here by now but I guess we will have to follow another lost order. Some of the big BR shooters feel that they beat the Jewell triggers.

Champion Shooters in the USA has been selling adapters to allow you to shoot Anschutz triggers on Rem and Winchester rifles. I'll have to order a few since I have a couple of Anschutz triggers sitting here.

In this game you get what you pay for. Sometime less if your not careful where you spend your money......
