I have a Kimber Mountain Ascent 280 Ackley and I'm wondering if it's worth while changing out the trigger for a triggertech. Kimber have nice triggers already. Has anyone changed theirs

I wouldn’t do it. The kimber trigger is fully adjustable I don’t see what improvements can be had with an aftermarket trigger. It’s one of the best triggers I’ve used.

Kimbers have nice triggers, and you would not suffer if you don't change it out.
But unless you have actually tried a Triggertech, you won't realize how superior
they are. Dave.

I put a Jard trigger in one of my kimbers and it is awesome I have used triggertechs in other rifles and may have to try one in my other ones

go for it

Cheers Tony

I was surprised when i saw trigger tech put out a kimber trigger. Totally unnecessary, my kimber triggers are awesome.

Trigger tech is my favourite for remingtons but in the case of a kimber id spend those few hundred dollars on bedding and ammo.

I have installed plenty of trigger tech, great triggers but the Kimber is full equal so why change it unless you want bragging rights .How much lighter than 2 lbs do you want for a hunting trigger? The Kimber will go lighter but why? Its not a bench gun.Hope you don't hunt with gloves.

The kimber trigger looks like a cheesy high school ring cut in half won’t argue that the adjustability of it is very good, but much prefer shotgun style triggers profiles IMO.

Hmmm don't see it.
The shoe is stainless on the kimber and you can shape it if you like

In the 80's, I knew an older shooter who claimed that when he started replacing components, changing triggers, stocks, barrels, etc. for no very good reason, then it was time for him to buy another spare rifle. He kept a safe full of cheap (at the time) Swedish Mausers to mess around with, just so he didn't screw up his "real" rifles too much.

Mike'y What don't you LIKE about your Kimber trigger ? - I just sold my Kimber BUT it was because it was a 30-06 i didn'y need ! The trigger after i adjusted it was EXCELLENT as others have stated on here . I have lots of other triggers ( Canjar- Timney's- Trigger Techs -Rifle Basic - Jewell ) to compare it too so i KNOW it was GOOD ! jmo RJ

I really like the trigger on my Kimber it's just quite wide I was wondering if the trigger Tech is not as wide that's all but looks like it's not worth me spending the money on so I won't be
