Well, I pulled the trigger "so to speak" last week on a TriggerTech curved drop in trigger cartridge.
It arrived from site sponsor Canada Ammo with a bunch of swag along with the stuff I ordered. -Thanks guys! It's all good stuff to have at the range!

I got right to work installing the unit in my Schmeisser AR15M4. Removal of the factory 2 stage match trigger assembly was simple and straight forward. TriggerTech supplies a nice set of illustrated instructions too, so if you a worried about buggering something up, just follow the directions and you will be fine.

It took all of about 10 minutes to swap out the triggers and I changed the pistol grip to a BCM Mod3 while I was at it.
The results? I would never have imagined an AR 15 with zero creep and as smooth, crisp and light trigger pull as what I now have. The factory one was pretty good, but this is more than I could ever have imagined!

I have a Trigger tech in my DD AR15 and its works so well I ordered another one this time a flat trigger for one of my other AR's. Also purchased from Canada Ammo

Oh, I almost forgot. When I was getting ready to order, I called Trigger Tech directly and asked if their AR-15 product would work with an AR-10. I was told that yes, they are interchangeable. I may have to get another, since I put the one I bought for my AR-10 into my AR-15.
I suppose I could always swap it over real quick like to see the difference in accuracy a top notch trigger will make.

I bought a Trigger Tech trigger for my AR15 as part of their pre-release/pre-order program. When it came in, I took it to my LGS to have it installed. (I didn't realize how easy it would be.) The guy at the LGS commented that it was a big improvement over the trigger group that came with my LPK, but there was still a lot of take-up in the trigger.

As luck would have it, he ran into Frank Gairdner from Trigger Tech while at SHOT and had the opportunity to not only discuss my trigger, but to try one at Range Day. They sent me a joint email and offered to make things right. Soon after SHOT Show ended, I had my new Trigger Tech trigger installed.

I finally took my AR15 to the range yesterday and got to fire it with the new Trigger Tech trigger. What an incredible upgrade compared to what was in the rifle originally! It is light, crisp and has a lightning quick reset.

Trigger Tech puts out a high quality upgrade to the standard LPK trigger at a reasonable cost, and as a company, they have customer service that is second to none.

Well folks, I finally got out to the range today to try out the TriggerTech curved trigger that I have installed in my Schmeisser AR-15. I had opted for the curved version, because I thought it would fit my trigger finger better. Sometimes I just don't go for the "latest greatest". After all, if you look at some of the smoke sticks in the vast collection of the Museum of the Armies in Paris, France; The triggers are indeed flat on a number of examples from the 1600's. We have progressed since then to putting finger fitting curved triggers on guns. Nuff said.
So, the day started on the 100 yard firing point with a magazine of 55gr FMJBT hand loads. When you place your index finger on the trigger blade, you can feel an almost imperceptible bit of take-up. The pressure builds slightly and then the rifle is bucking lightly against your shoulder and you are thinking to yourself- Wow! I didn't even feel the trigger breaking! It's that crisp folks! The reset is also fast and smooth with only the slightest bit of over-travel detected. And when I say that, I mean you have really got to be looking for it. Throughout the range trip, I tried a number of different exercises. Slow deliberate fire, rapid fire, standing, kneeling, prone and well; everything except for Rambo fire. The trigger fit well, functioned well and best of all, I was able to shrink my average group size by about 30-40% as compared to the factory 2 stage optimized trigger. I'd say that qualifies as a complete success! For 3 gun work, the user may want to increase the pull to about 4 or 5 pounds to avoid errrr "premature shots". It's easily done with the included allen wrench and I'll include a picture below.
It's nice to help grow our own industry and we can do so by purchasing a reliable, precision made accessory from Trigger Tech. I cannot say enough good things about their end user support too. I called the toll free number to ask a question about the trigger and was greeted by Frank, who happens to be the CEO of the company. The support I received was- Dare I say, the best I have ever experienced in the firearms industry and of course they are right here in Canada.

In the picture below, you can see an allen head screw just in front of the safety selector. This is the trigger pull adjustment screw. Simple and easy to get at. Just pop the rear takedown pin and voila, it's staring right at you.

There are few things nicer in the black rifle world than a good quality gun, with a precision trigger and optic.

The Trigger Tech trigger is finer than the bulky factory affair and it looks great since it appears to be made of polished stainless

Agreed it's a fantastic trigger. I've got one in my colt and love it. It's the straight blade trigger and the reset is crazy short with it. I have a SSA-E in my mk18 and I don't know which one I like more.

So you'd say the ssa-e and the triggertech are pretty similar ?
I'm looking to change the geissele s3g out of my 308 ar. I've had the ssa-e before, and wasn't blown away with it, I thought even the timney was better.
Best trigger I've had was the geissele national match, I should probably just find another one of those...

So you'd say the ssa-e and the triggertech are pretty similar ?

Now that I've got my TriggerTech trigger installed, I can finally have a little input into this. The SSA-E and TT are not even close in terms of feel. The SSA-E (or G2S-E) has a distinct 2.3lb first stage and then a lighter 1.2lb second stage. The TriggerTech is a single stage but in a way, it has a pseudo 1st stage with a take-up at approx 0.7lbs according to the TruthAboutGuns review. I don't have a digital scale to verify that, just a spring gauge. For me, the take-up weight is hardly anything and before you know it, you're at the wall and then a very crisp break. As TriggerTech claims, the trigger does feel very 1911ish. I love the fact that the trigger pull is adjustable. I too was expecting something a lot different in the SSA-E over the SSA but was a little disappointed 'cause I felt they were both pretty close in feel other than one having a hair lighter pull weight.

I'm not going to lie and like a pessimist, I took all these reviews and praises with a grain of salt. Who wouldn't be biased towards supporting a Canadian company? Well boys and girls, I'm eating my size 10s tonight. I sure love my Geissele triggers and have one in each of my ARs but damn, this TriggerTech really did surprise me in a great way. Don't worry, I'm not ready to swap out my Geisseles, I still love them. Each trigger design has their place. What I do like about the Geissele 2-stage triggers is that very distinct reset feel and audible "click". The TriggerTech is a bit softer reset feel and "click" BUT the overall travel distance of the TriggerTech is probably half or less than that of a Geissele. Now I'm really going to confuse new trigger buyers on which to get. lol

What really turned me around into giving one a try was the TruthAboutGuns drop-in trigger review. There's a blurb in there about how the performance of a regular trigger design can vary from lower to lower due to tolerence differences between the trigger pin holes and that self-contained drop-in triggers don't suffer from this as the trigger/sear/hammer engagement come preset from the factory and never changes from one rifle to to another. The lightbulb went on in my head and I took a chance.

The only negative thing I have about the TriggerTech AR trigger is that they do not come with trigger pins! If you were building a lower and bought the receiver parts minus the trigger group and went for a TriggerTech trigger, you had better order a set of pins or your build is going to get delayed until you order some.

I installed mine on a wannabe precision AR and have it set at 2lbs. I'm looking forward to trying my hand at the Black Rifle MOA challenge. :p

Best deal in town was from CanAm (at least $10 cheaper than others vendors) with free shipping.
