Triggertech or Timney?

I've got a Christensen Arms Traverse (rem 700 trigger) that came from the factory with a Triggertech trigger...I don't like it as I can't adjust it below 2.5-2.75lbs.

I'm going to replace it with something lighter.

Would you go with another model of Triggertech or go with a Timney?

I've got both Triggertech and Timneys on other rifles and can't say I have a preference.

Or has anyone been successful in lightening up the Field Triggertech to below 2.5lbs?

My Trigger Tech is set a 1.5 lbs on my 270 Win. Trigger Tech make various trigger groups/models, which have trigger adjustment in the ounces.

I've never used a triggertech. I have several base model timneys which are 'ok'. I recently bought a timneys flat trigger on here that is the best trigger I have ever used. Second place goes to an old 1969 Remington 700 ADL with a factory trigger that's been tuned by a gunsmith. Both are outstanding.

I'd like to get my hands in a triggertech one day and see how they are.

I got the Trigger Tech Special today...have it set at 1.5....very nice trigger. :)

As to my early question about swapping the Bolt Release from one trigger to the other TT...it doesn't work. I can take a Bolt release TT and remove it to work with NO bolt release but can't go the other way as the trigger body is machined out where the leaver mounts on it.:(

I have a Triggertech Diamond on my new Vudoo. It definitely feels different, and I actually adjusted it heavier than I expected to, but I do like it.

Had a few Timneys and did not like them, were not even close to Tikka factory triggers. I have two standard Triggertech triggers for hunting and really like them. Timneys all gone.

I've installed a timney sportsman on my M96 and it was the single thing that helped me shoot better. It's great and didn't break the bank at about 80$ CDN a few years ago.

Have a new rifle heading my way...will probably be doing the same!
