Called Trijicon just now and they said its normal. They said it depends on which reviolution its set on. Like I was saying in my previous post, if I screw the turret in, adjusting POI to the left, problem is gone.

just an fyi for guys.... butler creek flip up caps, classic style does not fit so you need to order flex fit.

you need
13.5 eye (13 to small, 14 to big)
3.5 obj (3 to small, 4 to big)

hope that helps, was at the gun shop today with scope figuring all this out. going to order caps from brownells.

This is what mine looks like when I pull it out to adjust it. You arent able to see the gold at all when you fully pull out your adjustment turrets? I dont mean to reset the 0, I mean just during normal adjustments.

i wonder if the above problem is related to the bottom issue....
 
It is. I cant re-zero it properly due to the issue in the youtube video. But if I dont bother resetting the zero and instead focus on seating the turret correctly, the bottom issue disappears.
 
Im noticing that you can reset the zero at every other notch, not every notch. So depending on where your zero is, you might not be able to reset the zero and gonna have to settle for 0-1/0+1 instead.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Can you guys lock the turret down at every notch?

Have you contacted Trijicon? It looks like they've replaced the scope for the guy in the youtube vid.
 
Other than the obvious, has anyone also used a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 and can offer some objective opinions on which might be a better optic? The Trijicon sounds like a tank in comparison.

From what I read, he shipped his scope back to them and have gotten nothing back for quite a few weeks already. I'm not willing to send it back right now with an unknown return date. If it was the winter, I would be ok with it, but not willing to wait for that now.

Scope has longer eye relief, but it also means the eye box has a tighter limit.

The higher the power the scope, the more sensitive it is to parallax. Those outrageous flyers you see in groups are the results of not maintaining the eye position. People cheat with moving the head a bit to get the recticle on target when their shooting positions are not perfect and they couldn't get back to the same spot over their breathing cycles , or/and the recoil moves the head a bit.

Fixed power optical sights like ACOG and Elcan are more forgiving than "scopes" in general when it comes to parallax. For a general combat sight, I will take the one that allows me to cheat a bit.

This is the best explanation I have read for "outrageous" flyers to date. Which explains most of my bench shooting lol. Thanks bud.
 
I dont know how the guy in the video was eventually able to mess around with the scope and get it so that the zero reset worked for him. I'm still unable to do that on mine.
