Trijicon ACOG 4x or Elcan Specter Adjstble 1-4x scope?

The eye relief is dependent on the model of ACOG. As for real estate(or rail estate), what else are you mounting? Flipping a magnifier takes no more time than throwing the lever on the Elcan, although having the magnifier hanging off the side is a downer. The minor shift in head position to use the magnifier is a non issue. As for killflash, there's no need for it on an Eotech.

True, although I was referencing the 4x ACOG. I was more referring to the overall length of the EOTech+magnifier vs. Elcan. I guess I just like the straightforward setup of having everything in one package (my cake and eating it too).

I've used an EOTech, I've used an ACOG, I've used a 1-4x set up and I've used a SpectreDR. They all have their place, but I use a SpectreDR. It is simply the best of both worlds when considering the choices of a CQB/mid range optic in one package. Is it ideal for every circumstance? No, but for one do-it-all optic I feel it is far superior to the others in this category. Mind you, I picked mine up for a once in a lifetime price, it would still be my go to optic, regardless of price.

I purchased the SpecterDR 1-4x in FDE, got to take it out last week, I love it! was pricey, but I'm pretty happy with it.

I have an acog ta11f 3.5X and for target over 50y it's perfect. For under 50y a magnified optic isn't the way to go. A good red dot or holo sight is way faster.

The "mission/use" Will tell you what is be the best for you.

I agree. The overall "package" size of the reddot and magnifier is huge. I too am a fan of the all in one package that low magnification adjustable optics offer.

Go with what works for you and your game or mission. It has to work for you and only you. Get out and try different optics and platforms at your club's matches and see what good and different optics have in store for you.

I just want the glass to match my outfit ! Ha ha ha ha

Cheers
