Trim: Before or after sizing?

well I need to go against the combined wisdom of always trimming after.....
but only when your making odd ball short cases, like converting 30-30 to 219 zipper or 357 Herrett, you need to do an intermediate trim somewhere in your case forming process and then after you have the cases formed you do your final trim.
Then you can fireform and then trim again if required.
other than that always trim after you size
