Trimmers what to buy

Hi Guys , sorry for the newbie questions I need a case trimmer. I am doing rifle loads only for now 45/70, 3006 and 30/30. What the easiest to use and repeatable.....Can you make some recommendations?

Its not the conventional hand turned lathe style, but they work great and are super fast.
 
I like the Lee trimmers for bottle neck cases like 30-06. Its a cutter with different case holders and length gauge to do each calibre and it only trims to minimum spec and is not adjustable. You buy the cutter and lock stud and then buy a seperate case gauge for each calibre. I use it with the Lee Zip Trim and bought a Lee Ball grip cutter. I also chamfer the case mouths while spinning on the zip trim.

For straight wall cases like the .45-70 and most pistol cals it may not even trim the cases as they usually do not grow longer and sometimes even shrink a little. I would not buy the Lee gauge for this calibre or any pistol ones. IF you must trim all your .45-70 to be exactly the same you will want a lathe type trimmer that is adjustable to any length you want. I have the cheapest Lyman one and didn't like the jaws that hold the case but may buy a Forster next.

LEE trimmer for sure: low cost, consistent, no set up time, no bench space, idiot proof. Anyone want to buy my RCBS unit, used once lots of collets?
 
I use a Lyman Accutrimmer. It seems to work fairly well, and it uses your shell holders from your press. It came with a bunch of standard pilots as well. It was $80.00 at P&D.
