Trimming to short

Scope or irons, the geometry is the same, just a different picture
Actually the geometry is exactly opposite from one to the other...with irons the "rifle pivot point" is exactly under the front sight...with modern adjustable cross hair scopes the pivot point is at your shoulder. I specify "modern" as the old style tube scopes have the same characteristics at irons, the front of the tube is stationary to the barrel dovetail and remains on the target no mater how far away it is.

We have pretty much taken over the OP's thread so we should start our own over the sighting issues.
