Triple 7 in cartridge revolvers?

I use it 777 must not be compressed in cartridges bullet should just touch the powder .
If you compress 777 in cartridges dangerous pressure spikes can occure . I read an article where a fellow had loaded his 45 colt with 777 and compressed the load he thought it recoiled a little too hard so shot it through a crony 1200fps Good job it was a ruger black hawk . If loaded correctly it is good and very easy to clean. I measure the seating depth of the bullet and then use just enough powder to just touch the base of the bullet. I also read a warning in a black powder Magazine that said 777 must not be compressed.
