I'm looking into 'aftermarket' mags for my up coming 1911 (which i should get in a few days :D). And was considering Tripp Research mags. Just wondering what you guys thing of them for those of you who have used/own them.

may not be helpfull, but i was looking at those also ( as i await the arrival of my spartan) but went for the Dlask 8rds instead.. cheaper, and canadian company... 15 bucks a pop i can get two 8rders for the price of one 10rnd... they are cheaper so i won;t be very upset if i drop em in the dirt etc.. they seem to be nice quality (been loaded them and un loaded them since i got em with anticipation for my spartan) Stamped on it says made in italy and i heard/ read somewhere most mags coming out of italy are pretty good quality.. something to consider if the tripp ones don't do it for you

Those Dlask ones are made in Italy by ACT, same mags as Meg-Gar :D
Pretty good quality and excellent price on local market.

I'm trying to find the best mag i can buy, since we all know stock mags from Springfield suck... i don't care about price $40 a mags no big deal, i feel my gun deserves the best mag possible :)

I have ordered numerous times from Sheri Tripp. They are top quality mags. You may want to look at the the Wilson Combat ones, they are very nice as well and more available in Canada. P&D (site sponsor) is the factory rep for Wilson.

I have been using my Tripp mags in both 9mm for my Para amd .45 for my STI and I have to say they are first rate and have never let me down after 1 thousands of rounds. I would highly recommend them....

You won't go wrong with Tripp Cobra mags.

I have one (for testing) and will be getting more.

Virgil answers the phone, takes orders and answers questions too.

Fast too.

Another endorsement for Tripp Research CobraMags. Simply the best of the best. There are several high quality 1911 mags out there, but the Tripps stand out above the rest. Not only are they well constructed, but their unique hybrid follower gives you the reliable smooth feeding of a polymer follower (such as Wilson's) AND the long-long term reliability of a metal follower. Dollar for dollar, the Tripp CobraMags cannot be beat. And on top of it all, Tripp ships to Canada without hesitation.

Great product, great company, great people to deal with.

Best 1911 mags

Tripp mags are the best 1911 mags I have owned or seen. I have the 9mm variety and they are better than my W ilsons which don't always hold the slide open on the last round. I prefer the follower on the Tripps to the Wilsons that being said the Wilsons always feed reliably
