Tristar crooked barrel

Hah, Tristart answered the email about sending barrel and they said they have repair facility here in Canada, I don't know why they didn't mention it before and asked to send to US.

Here is the place they provided for warranty service, Grech Outdoors.

Don't send Grech an email unless you want a response next year. Best to call them. I have had excellent experience with them in the past. Just not by email….

Not sure how much experience you have with o/u but it is possible that you are mounting the shotgun at an angle. I used to have that issue until another shooter pointed it out.

They got back to me quickly when I inquired about the trigger recall on my Henry Single Shot. Only took about a month to get the gun back from them all fixed up, I was pleasantly surprised given the reputation Gretch has around here.

I have a 20g SKB sxs .Right barrel is mod shoots perfect 60/40 poi very pleased .Left barrel full shoots 60/40 as well but a half pattern to the right .Fully 75% pellets to the right of center .Shot 2 rounds of trap with it 25 left barrel 25 right barrel broke 20/25 both times .Moral of the story still hits moving targets .

Many people mount the gun canted one way or the other and never know it, the only want to tell is have someone watch you. Usually a right hand shooter will cant the gun left which places the shot pattern in the bottom barrel left.

I use a Caldwell rifle rest,, line it up so there is no chance of canting.but yes fit is a big difference as is how you hold. My 1883 Dougal is dead on both barrels ,something to be said about "old guns"

What about just returning the gun to the place you bought it from and let them deal with the issues?

Most shops, including the big box stores, will direct you to the warranty centre if there is a problem with the gun. Understandably, this is sub-optimal for the owner of the gun. A fella might get lucky with a particular store, but that would be solely at the discretion of the store owner.

Stand in front of a large mirror and shoulder and point the barrel at your image... you can easily see if the muzzle is canted or not.

I'm not a lawyer... But I'm pretty sure if a product is defective from the get-go, the store has to refund or replace.
- Of course, if the OP had the gun for a few months before reporting the issue... that might be a different story.

One would like to think so. Legally, I would guess that the store acts as an agent to sell the gun on behalf of the manufacturer. In the event of a warranty claim, the manufacturer (or another agent) steps up to the plate (hopefully). The minute the gun leaves the store, it is deemed "in warranty".

In Canada, businesses are not obligated to accept the return of purchased items unless they are defective.

If store sold me a defectives item, and they push me over to the manufacturer to deal with the issue...
